Hi, I'm Shion Yamadate, a software engineer working in Tokyo.
I began coding with Python after being inspired by a high school classmate who created a scraping script for a data collection assignment. This sparked my interest in simulations, leading me to pursue a bachelor's degree focused on Monte Carlo simulations for functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS). My curiosity then expanded into computer vision, culminating in a master's degree where I researched machine learning for object's state-change recognition in egocentric vision.
My long-standing interest in coding has inspired me to begin my professional career as a software engineer, where I can create systems that enhance user productivity. I believe in the importance of developing tools that anybody can use to benefit from and that are valued by others. For now, I am focused on gaining knowledge and experience in this field so that I can eventually bring a creative product to life.
